Pakistan Receives First Crude Shipment Since Strait of Hormuz Closure, Petrol Shortage Concerns Ease

Pakistan has received its first crude oil shipment since the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, providing relief amid rising US–Isr@el–Ir@n tensions.

The tanker MT Nave Atropos, carrying 50,000 tonnes of petrol, has docked at Port Qasim, Karachi. Two more vessels, MT Spross Two (55,000 tonnes) and MT Sea Clipper (34,000 tonnes), are expected to arrive shortly.

Additional shipments from Fujairah and Oman are also en route. Authorities have assured citizens that fuel supplies remain stable. The monitoring committee, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, continues to review energy sector developments on a daily basis.
